Seidel Fund Grants $10K to Platoon 22
A grant in the amount of $10,000 from The 1LT Rob Seidel Wounded Soldiers Fund was recently presented to Platoon 22, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness of and providing services for soldiers suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The fund, one of more than 679 funds managed by The Community Foundation of Frederick County, was established by Robert and Sandy Seidel, Rob Seidel’s parents, after he was killed in action in Iraq in 2006. Grants from the fund assist organizations that support wounded soldiers with medical treatment, physical and occupational therapies, housing, employment training, and more.
